NCUA
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is the independent federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit union. NCUA, backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, operates the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) insuring the savings of 80 million account holders in all federal credit unions and many state-chartered credit unions.
PA Dept of Banking
Since 1891, Pennsylvania’s Department of Banking has ensured the safety and soundness of state-chartered financial institutions. Financial services have changed dramatically in the past 100 years and so has the department. Of course, we still make sure that the financial institutions licensed in Pennsylvania act responsibly and comply with the law. It’s the heart of what we do because we know that these institutions hold the hard-earned money used to pay the mortgages, buy the groceries, and reach the dreams of Pennsylvania’s families.
PCUA
The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is the trade association for Pennsylvania’s credit unions created in 1934 as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The Association is owned by its member credit unions and is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors, elected by, and from, affiliated credit unions in nine Districts. Nearly 90 percent of Pennsylvania’s credit unions are members of the Association.
The mission of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is to provide leadership to promote credit unions and their unique philosophy. We are committed to serving credit unions through quality products and services to meet the financial needs of their members; to maintaining a dynamic organization that fosters employee growth and mutual respect; and to exercising prudence and the highest ethical standards.

Love My Credit Union
Lovemycreditunion.org was created in 2005 as a call to action in support of the CU Difference campaign. The campaign and website are a statewide effort by Michigan credit unions and the Michigan Credit Union League to create public awareness of credit unions. The website is directly tied to an annual TV and radio advertising campaign in Michigan that seeks to educate consumers about how credit unions are different from banks and why we are so sure that our way of doing business is better for consumers.
