Shared Branching Update
IDCheck: A Safer, Smarter Way to Use Shared Branching
Lancaster Red Rose Credit Union is proud to be part of the Shared Branching network, which allows our members to perform transactions at other participating credit unions—and vice versa. Now, Shared Branching is introducing IDCheck, a new security feature designed to make your banking experience safer and more convenient.
New Shared Branch Experience: Learn More About IDCheck
If you bank at Co-op Shared Branch locations, a teller can now identify and authenticate members with out-of-state IDs in the branch through a QR code and one-time passcode multi-factor authentication verification. This additional layer of authentication will be used for Co-op Shared Branch transactions beginning May 1, 2025.
IDCheck Protects Against Fraud with a Simple QR Code
- Scan the QR code located in the branch or visit verify.coop.org.
- Select your credit union’s name from a drop-down list.
- Enter your member number and the last four digits of your social security number.
- Upload a photo of your ID.
- Take a selfie. Tip: Save your validation for an even quicker experience next time!
- Show your one-time passcode to the teller (passcode is valid for 20 minutes).
Easy, Fast, Secure IDCheck
It’s crucial to help protect you from account takeover fraud. This new fraud prevention measure allows us to make certain it is YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.
